Tattoo as Ceremony. Body as Myth.

you are a soma-scape (somatic landscape) connected to all of creation.

“[Soma] translates to the nectar of the gods and refers to collective spiritual wisdom and energy, not just individual experience… Waters, the Earth, the Air, the Space, the elements, and our interbeing nature, that’s part of you.”

You are called to ceremonial tattoo because you:

recognize that practices imbued with intention, spirit, and story are medicine for these times.

desire to engage in reverence of your ancestors and guides blood and chosen, human and beyond-human. you see the path forward as interdependent and earth-entwined.

welcome the permanence of ink as a portal an alchemical place that holds and enacts change.

Rooted in folk herbalism, politicized somatics, and a tangling of (tr)ancestors across Tagalog, Celtic, and queer lineages, I aim to support you in honoring your body’s wisdom and (re)generative power and co-creating your myth of belonging.

My practice is explicitly anti-colonial, abolitionist, queer, and animistic. If you are committed to collective liberation, in its infinite permutations, you are welcome here.

All offerings are ceremonial. They include breathwork and guided meditation, an altar to set intentions and call in guides and ancestors, and herbal accomplices in the form of tea or smoke to journey with.

I can’t wait to create with you ❤

*collective liberation is joyful, pleasureful, emergent, rigorous; it requires transformative approaches that engage justice across race, land, gender, healing, disabilities and more to compost domination at the systemic and intimate scale. white-bodied supremacy and settler-colonialism..

Testimonials

“Haven created the most grounding environment for the piece we cultivated together to honor my ancestors. Every part of the creation of the tatu was intentional – from the four directions storywork and ancestral journey through guided meditation, to the creation myth invocation and altarspace. Haven ensured my comfort throughout and followed up afterwards to check on my integration and healing.”

“I really appreciated my time with Haven. The ceremonial aspect of my session is something new to me, and I felt very grateful to partake in it. I can tell they’re trauma informed and understand how tatu is an embodied practice. I was able to rest when needed and they took my allergies and marginalizations in mind. Each day I’m more excited about being tattooed with “radiating love.” I feel more sensual and at ease in my own skin, and at peace with myself. I felt comfortable to be in my body for the duration of our session, and it meant a lot to explicitly prioritize COVID safety measures.”

“The time, presence, and deep listening that Haven put into designing my tattoo reflected the meaning that it carries for me. I felt seen, my ancestors felt seen, and now I can better see my way into a meaningful story for myself in relationship. It was a very special thing to mark.”
